Objectives

The CELCP’s aim is (1) to develop and explore aesthetic, narrative, cultural, and scientific representations of planetarity;
(2) to develop new platforms (including digital and interactive ones) through which to study the relationship between planets/planetary space, representation, and the imaginary; and (3) to develop new methodologies of interpreting planetarity organized around three specific axes of research.

The CELCP also aims to create multiple dialogues with national and international academic communities and research institutions. The CELCP addresses itself to a multi-disciplinary community of scholars working within and beyond the humanities and seeks to cooperate with such outside collaborators as journalists, writers, filmmakers, cultural workers, and community groups.
